The Simple Mama: My Favorite Christmas Decor

The I absolutely LOVE seeing how people decorate their homes during Christmas time. I might be the creepy lady who drives by houses slowly at night and tries to peek in your windows from the street to see your lovely Christmas decorations. Please still love me after that confession. ;)

Let's even things up a bit, shall we? How about a little peek into my house? ;) Here are some of my favorite decorations in our home, Simple Mama style.

My Favorite Oldie:
I've had these 3 little trees since the 1st year we were married. And I bought the BELIEVE sign last year when we did the Ice Exhibit at the Gaylord Hotel for the first time. I love this little decor combo that greets you when you walk through the front door of our home.

My Favorite New but Old:
Our mantle has been decorated the exact same way since we had our first Christmas in our cozy home 13 years ago. This year it was time for a change! I didn't want to spend any money so I used things we already had to create something new. And I know I'm kinda biased, but I'm sorta in love with it. :)

My Favorite Newbie:
I wasn't planning to buy new Christmas ornaments this year, but we were shopping family style at Walmart when we saw these black ornaments. I know it isn't traditional, but if you've known Brad and me for awhile, you know that these are perfect for us! And I love them (especially for only $9 total!)!!

My Favorite Fun Decor:
At the close of the holiday season last year I bought a package of those ~~messy~~ fun icicles on clearance. I threw them in the Christmas tub to save for the children this year to use on their little trees that they have in their rooms. I might be the best mom this year because I let them ~~throw~~ hang them up on their trees any way they wanted. And I promise I did NOT move them to make them look neater. And yes, that was hard for me. ;)
