We got a coupon for a FREE Hello Fresh box (an $80 value) from a sweet friend and were excited to try it. I really had no idea what to expect. But it seemed buttoned-up (as my hubby would say) from the moment I opened it.
Hello Fresh delivers chef created recipes based on seasonal farm fresh ingredients to your doorstep. Everything is pre-measured and portioned for easy, fast, healthy meals.
We only chose 2 recipes for our box, but they included beautiful color photos with the recipes and instructions for all 3 recipes that week. And we got an envelope with some other retail coupons in it.
Underneath that were the boxes of ingredients. All labeled and organized. I love them already.
Then beneath that were the packages of meat. This was the part I was most anxious about. But they packaged the meat very well with 2 giant freezer packs and insulated wrapping all around the perimeter of the box. I never felt like the meat was compromised at all.
I couldn't wait to peek in my box for our first meal last night.
I LOVE the recipe card! It has all the nutritional info and additional info like if the meal is peanut or gluten free. The directions are precise and clear. I was worried that it would take longer than the listed prep/cook time but it didn't! I literally had this meal on the table in 30 minutes. Yes!
Now I am not a food photographer by any means. And I'll be honest, I was starving so I just threw it on the plate and started chowing down. It was scrumptious!
The only downside to Hello Fresh is the cost. But you are paying for the convenience of it...which it was super convenient and definitely worth it for busy mamas and daddies. They do offer different plans and there are no contracts so you can do it once....or every once in awhile...or every week.

Just beware....they love you when you are buying, but not so much when you try to quit. They will do everything they can to hold on to you, including charging you for orders you didn't want and refusing to acknowledged your cancellation. Because of this, we chose to go elsewhere!
